We had a wonderful Christmas, and I’m kind of sad that all of the activities are over. I am enjoying a nice, relaxing day at home today and trying to get caught up on housework. Meanwhile, the girls have their swimsuits on and are swimming in newspaper (Max joined in too).
Our Christmas was a little different this year since my husband worked on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, but we still had fun celebrating the birth of our Savior. I have to constantly fight my own thoughts of disappointment over things being different and traditions getting changed and replace that with the real meaning of the season. The kids don’t care one way or the other. They are happy with any special time we have together!
Nate ran out and bought a Keurig Elite Coffee Maker right before we had a Christmas party at our house. It was so much fun for us and our guests! What a great surprise!
Cookie Update: We ended up making frosted shortbread cutout cookies, sugar cookies, creme wafers, chocolate crinkles, and chocolate chip/peanut butter/oatmeal cookies. The kids helped some, but my patience was limited… They were a big help with the cookie deliveries to the neighbors though.
